If you think a borescope is just a fancy snake camera for looking into dark holes, think again! In the AMT world, this is the mechanicโ€™s crystal ball for internal engine health.

The Spec:
An internal inspection is only successful when it achieves two strict goals:

1. It detects hidden defects (like hairline cracks, turbine blade erosion, or foreign object damage) without tearing the whole engine apart.

2. It provides clear, measurable data (it confirms whether a component is within allowable limits or needs immediate replacement).

Remember: What the eye canโ€™t see, the borescope will, because skipping a peek inside today means a lot of paperwork (and a massive headache) tomorrow!
