‎LOOK: Students from the Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT), particularly in Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BA Comm) Program, brought pride to their community after earning recognition in the Tourism Promotional Video Competition and Youth Songwriting Contest organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan Palompon Chapter and the Local Government Unit of Palompon, Leyte. The awarding ceremony was held on October 5 at the Palompon Municipal Hall.

Some teachers teach the lesson, but the best ones become part of the story we carry with us.

This Teachers’ Day, we take a moment to appreciate the teachers who have been there through the questions, the struggles, the victories, and the moments when we needed a little more encouragement. They have taught us lessons beyond what is written in books, lessons about confidence, patience, perseverance, and believing in ourselves.

To our BA Communication teachers, thank you for sharing not only your knowledge but also your time, understanding, and genuine care. Every reminder, every correction, every word of encouragement, and every moment you chose to guide us has become part of our growth.

Your influence may not always be seen right away, but it stays with us as we continue to find our voices and become the people we hope to be.

Before the world knew who we would become, 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Before the doctor held a stethoscope,
before the engineer drew a blueprint,
before the lawyer found their voice,
before the writer found the words,
there was a student and someone who taught them where to begin.

A classroom may look like an ordinary room, but within its walls, possibilities quietly unfold. A piece of chalk that seems small, yet in the hands of an educator, it can write the first lines of a life not yet known.

They teach us letters before we learn to write our names, numbers before we learn to count our dreams, and lessons before we are ready to face the world.

Yet, as the years pass, we realize that the 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬.

Sometimes, they are found in the simple moments between a teacher and a student.

“𝐎𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐫𝐚 𝐤𝐚?”
Simple words, but enough to let a student know that someone noticed.

“𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢 𝐥𝐚𝐠-𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐛.”
A simple reminder that one mistake does not mean we have to stop.

And “𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠 𝐤𝐨 𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐨.”
Words that can help a student believe in themselves again.

Because learning is not only about what we know. It is also about 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲.

That is why teaching is often called the "𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬". Teachers nurture curiosity, build character, and help young minds discover what they are capable of.

For many students, they also become a second mother, not replacing the one at home, but offering another source of guidance, discipline, care, and encouragement.

They notice the quiet student.
They celebrate small victories.
They correct without giving up.
And when failure makes us question ourselves, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞.

Years later, those small moments can take different forms.

Compassion may guide a doctor.
Curiosity may fuel an invention.
A love for words may find its way into a writer’s voice.
A sense of responsibility may become a life of service.

The profession comes later.
The values behind it begin much earlier.

Yet behind every lesson are people who also have tiring days, difficult moments, and quiet doubts. They may sometimes wonder, “𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐨 𝐛𝐚 𝐤𝐨 𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐤𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧?”

Sometimes, the answer arrives years later in a former student’s confidence, a kind decision, a chosen path, or the simple act of helping someone else.

Because the most meaningful lessons are not always the ones we can recite.

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞.
𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

And some become two simple words:
“𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐨.”

What begins in one classroom can travel far beyond it, into professions, families, communities, and the lives of those who come after us.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬.

So today, we honor those who taught us, guided us, challenged us, and believed in us when we were still learning to believe in ourselves.

To the mothers of all professions, the second mothers in our classrooms, and every educator whose presence has mattered, your greatest work may never remain on a blackboard.

𝐈𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞.

And before every profession, every achievement, and every future, there was once a student and someone who believed they could become more.

Following the latest directive from the Municipality of Palompon, the earlier suspension of classes has been retracted, and classes will proceed on October 5, 2026, in accordance with DepEd guidelines.

However, pursuant to PIT Memorandum No. 191, s. 2026, classes at Palompon Institute of Technology will be conducted asynchronously.

𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗬 | 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝟬𝟬𝟭: 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐞 𝐊𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐈𝐭

Before we knew it, strangers became familiar.

A simple conversation became a friendship. A random day became a memory. A difficult moment became a lesson.

That is how life happens.

Quietly.

We rarely notice the moment something changes. We only notice when we look back and realize 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝.

People come into our lives without warning. Some stay, some leave, and some become part of the stories we will always remember. Along the way, we learn that not every connection needs to last forever to be meaningful.

Sometimes, a smile from a stranger becomes the beginning of a friendship. Sometimes, a small act of kindness becomes the reason someone keeps going. Sometimes, the moments we thought were ordinary become the ones we miss the most.

And maybe that is the beauty of growing, 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠.

We become braver after facing things that once scared us. We become stronger after surviving days we thought we could not handle. We learn to let go, to begin again, and to appreciate the people who walk beside us.

Life does not always announce when we are growing.

Sometimes, it simply happens in the conversations we have, the people we meet, the mistakes we make, and the memories we create.

Then one day, we look back and realize.

We are not the same person we used to be.

𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗥 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟯 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: As part of the continuing initiative of strengthening the skills and capabilities of the members, the four clubs of the VOICES organization held their Week 3 mentorship sessions today, October 2, 2026, featuring different discussions and activities that aimed to expand the knowledge and enhance the skills of its members.

The 𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 explored photography basics, while the 𝗣𝗲𝗻 & 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 delved into the basics of sports writing. Meanwhile, the 𝗩𝗢𝗫 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 continued their session with an activity entitled “Vox Role Guild Challenge.” The 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 focused on actors’ basic script analysis and character analysis.

Through these sessions, the members were given opportunities to gain new knowledge while their skills were being enhanced. This further reflects the organization's continuing commitment to creating spaces where its members can continue to learn, collaborate, and grow.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) celebrate the achievement of September 2026 Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) topnotcher and successful passers today, September 29, through a Holy Mass and campus motorcade.

The program began with a Holy Mass, where the PIT community came together in prayer and thanksgiving for the successful licensure journey of the newly registered electrical engineers.

The solemn gathering was followed by a campus motorcade, as students, faculty members, employees, and guests filled the campus with cheers, colorful balloons, and warm greetings for the honorees.

The occasion highlighted their dedication and perseverance while bringing the PIT community together in a shared moment of pride and gratitude.
