In view of the latest weather bulletins from the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA), typhoon “TINO” is expected to make landfall in Eastern Visayas.
To ensure the safety and preparedness of the entire Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) community, the Institute is implementing precautionary measures as outlined in PIT Memorandum No. 164, s. 2025.
All students shall continue to observe the scheduled Wellness Break on November 3, 2025 (Monday) for both the Main and Tabango Campuses. However, 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙮 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙣-𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢𝙨, 𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙣.
Faculty and personnel residing in areas identified as critical or high-risk zones, such as those prone to flooding or landslides, may be excused from physical reporting on November 3, if their safety would be compromised. Concerned employees are required to immediately notify their direct supervisors and the Human Resource Management Office for proper documentation.
In light of the expected intensification and landfall of Typhoon “TINO”, 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 4 𝙖𝙣𝙙 5, 2025 (𝙏𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮).
The DRRM Officer, together with the Safety Officer and the Head of Security, shall ensure campus readiness, safeguard facilities, and coordinate with local government units for possible emergency response actions.
The Institute underscores that the safety and well-being of everyone remain its top priority. All are enjoined to stay vigilant, take necessary precautions, and remain updated through official advisories.
