[NATIVE TREE WALK 3.0: DAY 2]

Of course, one walk isn't enough! It's a good thing the trees had more stories to tell. 🌳

Day 2 of Native Tree Walk 3.0 took place on June 19, 2026, where a fresh batch of seedlings was once again reminded that growth is often patient, grounded, and deeply connected to place. 🌱

Our heartfelt thanks go once again to our dedicated BeLEAF volunteers and facilitators—Mr. Erick, Gail, and Sky—who guided participants through the walk with generosity and care. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏽 Every conversation was an invitation to remember that we are not separate from the living world, but sustained by it. 🍃

As we close this year's Native Tree Walk 3.0, BeLEAF in the Youth hopes that the lessons from these two days continue to take root long after the walk has ended. 💚

[NATIVE TREE WALK 3.0: DAY 1]

Some stories are best told beneath the shade of a tree. 💚

BeLEAF in the Youth officially returned for its third run, kicking off Day 1 on June 17, 2026, at the Manila Campus with members of the Lasallian community and non-Lasallians. 🌱

Like the rest, our Native Tree Walk opened with curiosity and ended with a renewed appreciation for the flora and fauna that gently shape our campus. Partreecipants attended Mr. Erick Buado’s talk, “From Roots to Canopy: Bridging our Lasallian Heritage and Filipino Identity through Native Trees,” which reminded us that protecting our native trees is also a way of honouring who we are. Such a walk would not have been possible without the guidance of our passionate facilitators: Mr. Erick, Clark, Gail, Sky, and Jorge. ✨

To everyone who listened, asked questions, and looked up at the canopy with fresh eyes—thank you for growing with us. 🌿
