See the world through their eyes. 🐱

This kindness to Animals day, we reminded that compassion extends beyond ourselves. Established in the Philippines in 1958, this day calls us to practice kindness, and justice toward all living creatures. 🐾🦜

As we celebrate World Animal Day every October 4, let us recognize animals as sentient beings deserving of care, protection, and respect. From responsible pet ownership to protecting wildlife, every act of kindness matters. 🍀

Let us create a world where every living creature is treated with the compassion they deserve. 💚

A symbol of Mindoro, a treasure of the Philippines. 🐃

This October, we celebrate National Tamaraw Month, honoring the critically endangered Tamaraw (Bubalus mindorensis), found only in the Philippines. 🌿

The 2026 Annual Tamaraw Population Count recorded 425 tamaraws, up from 380 in 2025. UST’s Assoc. Prof. Nikki Heherson A. Dagamac, has also contributed to Tamaraw conservation through Project MATAPAT, camera-trap research, and habitat studies in Mindoro.💚

Every September 26, we observe Save Sierra Madre Day, reminding us of the importance of protecting this vital mountain range. 🌳

Sierra Madre helps regulate climate, control erosion, conserve biodiversity, and protect communities from extreme weather. It is home to approximately 40% of the Philippines’ forest cover and thousands of plant species, many of which are endemic. As threats continue, protecting Sierra Madre means protecting our communities, ecosystems, and future. 🌱

This Zero Emissions Day, let’s take a moment to check the impact of our everyday choices. After all, giving our planet one day off a year isn’t enough if our habits keep adding to its footprint.

Once you’ve calculated yours, comment how many Earths we’d need if everyone lived like you! 🌎

This September 21, we commemorate the 54th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law under the Marcos Sr. regime, remembering the experience of those who lived through this chapter in Philippine history.

As EARTH-UST, let us preserve the truth, learn from the past, and continue standing against corruption, injustice, and the destruction of our environment. Together, let us uphold accountability, protect our communities, and work toward a more just and sustainable future.
