Today, we stand beneath the same sky that once witnessed a nationโ€™s bold declaration of freedom. A freedom won through courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief that the Filipino people deserved to shape their own future.

Freedom was not handed to us; it was earned through unwavering faith, resilience, and unity. It echoes in every chapter of our history, in every voice that chose hope over surrender, and in every heart that continues to believe in the promise of our nation.

As we celebrate the 128th anniversary of Philippine Independence, may we honor the legacy of our heroes not only through remembrance but through action. Last June 9, 2026, the COT SBO held one of the most amazing events, every graduate gathered to celebrate the individuals whose love, sacrifices, and unwavering support continue to inspire the next generation of innovators and changemakers.

A world without color is not necessarily a world without light. Sometimes, it is simply a world that has forgotten how to see.

For generations, countless individuals have lived in shades of silence โ€” hiding pieces of themselves to fit the outlines drawn by others. Yet despite the fear, despite the prejudice, despite the weight of being told they were too different, they endured. They persisted. They chose to exist as they are.

And because they did, the world became brighter.

Ang pride ay pakikibaka.

Because of those who dared to speak their truth, there is color.

Because of those who refused to disappear, there is color.

Every school year is a station we once feared, once dreamed of, and eventually survived.

From the trembling beginnings of Byaheng 1st Year, to the unfamiliar turns of Byaheng 2nd Year, through the storms and self-discoveries of Byaheng 3rd Year, and now, the nearing horizon of Byaheng 4th Year โ€” each journey carried stories only students could truly understand.
