The CBMA-Aklan Christmas Celebration: A Gathering of Gratitude, Learning, and Hope

On December 4, 2025, the Convention Baptist Ministers Association (CBMA) Aklan Chapter gathered for its Christmas Party Celebration and Continuing Education—an event marked not only by joy and fellowship but also by a renewed commitment to ministry and service. It was a day that reminded us of the strength of community, the power of shared stories, and the hope that continues to rise even in the face of challenges.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Doc. Darlette Villanueva Ladrido and Faith Bayubay, whose gracious hospitality made the gathering truly memorable. Their openness in making the venue available to us created an atmosphere of warmth and belonging, allowing the ministers to celebrate and learn together with comfort and joy.

A significant part of the program was dedicated to envisioning the future of CBMA’s Continuing Education, with Pastor Joshua Z. Zonita facilitating thoughtful conversations and plans. His Insights helped guide the ministers toward meaningful strategies that would strengthen pastoral growth and sustain the mission of CBMA in the years ahead.

The gathering also became a sacred space for reflection as Pastor Rogen Rivero shared his heartfelt testimony about the devastation brought by Typhoon Tino. His story was a powerful reminder of the fragility of life and the resilience of faith. It also highlighted the vital role played by the CBMA-Aklan Chapter and AKBCI in responding to the needs of affected communities—embodying compassion, unity, and the gospel in action.

Adding to the festive spirit, the ministers were delighted to receive cash gifts from the Kasapulanan, a gesture that uplifted spirits and expressed appreciation for their dedication to ministry and service.

The event was more than a celebration; it was a reaffirmation of shared commitment. As the CBMA-Aklan Chapter moves forward, strengthened by fellowship and guided by purpose, we continue to nurture a community of care—one that upholds one another and extends hope to the communities we serve.

May the spirit of Christmas inspire us all to walk faithfully, lead with compassion, and serve with joy.

AKLAN KASAPULANAN OF BAPTIST CHURCHES INC

November 7, 2025

To all our Churches,

Grace and peace from our One Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In the wake of the recent typhoon that struck Negros Occidental, many of our brethren and communities are now facing great distress. Homes have been lost, livelihoods disrupted, and families are struggling to recover. At this critical time, the call for compassion and unity rings louder than ever.

As the body of Christ, we are reminded that we are One Church, serving One Lord, through One Baptism (Ephesians 4:4–6). Though we are many congregations, we are bound by one faith and one mission—to love, serve, and extend the grace of God to those in need.

In this spirit of oneness, we are inviting every local church to take part in our Relief Operation for Negros Occidental through a Special Offering this Sunday, November 9, 2025. The collected offering will be used to provide essential supplies such as rice, clean water, food, and fuel for generators to support families affected by the disaster.

For the Offering and Other Donations, We will collect it in Sunday Afternoon for the churches of Circuit A and B, and for to the circuit C and D, you can send your help through Palawan
Account Name:Raziel F. De La Cruz Cellphone Number: 09996530250

May our collective response reflect the light of Christ to those who are in darkness and despair. Truly, we are One Church, under One Lord, living out One Baptism—called to bring hope where it is needed most.

With Christ’s love and service,

Pastor Gerry Ruto
CBMA-President

Pastor W***y N. Vidad
AKBCI-President

Kicking off the LRMA Fellowship opening day with gratitude as big as our pastors’ hearts, after months of ministry and miracles, it was time for some well-earned rest and relaxation.

We rolled out the welcome mat from Luzon to Aklan, with pastors joining from Romblon and Mindoro as well.

The host chapter did more than just serve food; they prepared a feast fit for kings thanks to Sampous Foods, then whisked us away to the chill vibes of Valzalcedo Floating Cottage. Add a dash of lively videoke, heaps of laughter, and a splash of encouragement and voilà, a day of fellowship so rich even the camaraderie wanted an encore.
