A Journey of Friendship, Service, and Hope.
Longstanding collaborations are to be reviewed. LUMIN-AWA —a relationship built on trust, friendship, and a shared commitment to creating lasting opportunities for communities in the Philippines.
Recently, our Board Member, Kurt Brenner and our President visited Dr. Hans Ueli Schaer and his team, philanthropists to whom the cause of the Kalinga people is close to heart; their advocacy Luminawa in Switzerland. The visit was followed by a trip to Lumin-awa Kalinga, where our team met with community members and witnessed firsthand the inspiring work being done to promote education, sustainable livelihoods, and community development.
New opportunities are on the drawing board, initiatives that can further improve lives, including irrigation project to support local farmers and a community health center to provide better access to essential healthcare.
NACSEARelief is honored serving the purpose.

Reaching the Most Remote Earthquake-Affected Communities

NACSEA Relief successfully delivered emergency relief assistance to 509 earthquake-affected families across the provinces of South Cotabato and Sarangani, particularly in the municipalities of Lake Sebu, T'boli, Glan, Kiamba, and Jose Abad Santos. Many of these communities had remained isolated due to severe landslides, damaged roads, and large ground fissures caused by the earthquake.

Undeterred by these challenging conditions, our dedicated relief teams navigated difficult terrain to ensure that vulnerable families received much-needed rice packs and emergency assistance. Their commitment reflects our mission to reach those who are often the hardest to access during times of crisis.

Following the food distribution, NACSEA Relief conducted rapid shelter damage assessments across the affected communities. The assessment identified 90 households whose homes sustained severe damage and are in urgent need of shelter recovery support and is now preparing a “Shelter Recovery Program” that will provide essential construction materials, enabling affected families to rebuild safer, stronger, and more resilient homes while restoring their dignity and hope for the future.

Your support is appreciated, and we extend our sincere gratitude for making this life-saving work possible. Together, we are helping earthquake-affected families move beyond emergency relief toward lasting recovery and resilience.

61 dead, 173’000 families affected in Mindanao Quake

15th June 2026: So are the present headlines. Following the powerful M7.8 earthquake, LGU’s, Philippine Red Cross have responded. Also NACSEARelief field teams are on the ground delivering critical emergency aid to affected communities. Immediate relief has reached the families of El Alis in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.

Through an emergency allocation, our team successfully procured and distributed 5kg packs of rice to 30 families in urgent need. The community expressed profound gratitude for this immediate lifeline in the wake of the disaster. Not much yet but a beginning.
Many areas are still difficult to reach even communication is close to impossible.

Our work is far from over. The team has conducted initial damage assessments of homes in the area. Many families are facing severe structural damage and are hopeful for the next phase of assistance: securing construction materials to safely rebuild their homes. First to gather information to finalize our housing rehabilitation plan. Together, through faith and community action (Bayanihan), we will help El Alis and other communities rise again.

How You Can Help: Stay tuned for updates on how you can support our upcoming Housing Reconstruction Project. Every bit of assistance brings a family closer to a safe home.

Good harvests and grateful hearts in South Cotabato!
Through donor assistance, farmers received organic fertilizers that helped improve the growth and productivity of their crops. While primarily used for corn production, farmers also applied the fertilizers to tomatoes, green chili peppers, bananas, and other vegetable plants.
The result: healthier crops, better harvests, improved food supply for families, and additional income opportunities for farmers.
This support continues to promote sustainable farming practices and strengthen the livelihoods of farming communities in South Cotabato.
Thank you to our generous donor, NAK karitativ for making this possible!
