After METRICulous planning and coordination by the officers of the METRIC CLUB together with VITA CLUB and YES-O, the academic booth representing the Math-Science Department was finally completed and presented to the judges yesterday, February 18.

Detailed outputs such as dioramas and posters made by MATHusay and creative students were showcased at the academic booth.

This Monday, the culminating program for Mathematics Month was successfully conducted.

The event was spearheaded by the officers of the METRIC Club, together with the club advisers and judges, as well as the Science and Mathematics Subject Group Head, Maโ€™am Milagros Calumaya, Assistant Principal II for Curriculum, Maโ€™am Emelinda Abu, and Assistant Principal II for Governance, Maโ€™am Prisca Buenaventura.

Students who won and participated were recognized with certificates and prizes. ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅ‰Meanwhile, teachers and officers who contributed to the success of the event were also acknowledged for their efforts and dedication.

Yesterday, January 29, the METRIC Club โ€” Math Club of Isabela National High School - Senior High School โ€” successfully held its Mathematics Month Symposium, proving that math is more than equationsโ€”itโ€™s a tool for creation. ๐ŸŒŸ

Guided by our distinguished speakers, we explored how mathematics builds the world we live in: from the purpose and vision of the symposium shared by Architect & Environmental Planner Geraldine J. Paguirigan, PhD ๐Ÿ“‚, to mastering Basic Drafting Tools and Techniques with Architect Wilna Breech A. Ramos โš’๏ธ, and unlocking Architectural Plan Reading and Basic Construction Knowledge with Architect Bagnos A. Quebral Jr., PhD. โš™๏ธ With our deepest appreciation, we thank our esteemed speakers for generously sharing their time, expertise, and passion! ๐Ÿ’™โ˜๐Ÿผ

Ada Lovelace, 19th-century mathematician, known as the worldโ€™s first computer programmer. She wrote the first algorithm for a machine, depicting mathematics everywhere.

She showed the beauty in combining creativity with mathematics. Which inspires me to see math not just as numbers, but as a powerful tool for innovation.

Hypatia of Alexandria was a respected mathematician, philosopher, and teacher from the late 4th to early 5th century, known for teaching mathematics, astronomy, and sharing her knowledge.

I chose Hypatia as my mirror-model because she showed strength through learning. Despite discouragement toward women, she stayed true to her passion, taught others, and inspires us to keep believing.
