CARE IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY. 🧡
We all need care, and we should all provide it. Yet across households and communities, unpaid care work is still overwhelmingly expected of women and girls.
The cooking, the school runs, medical appointments, and the invisible mental load of endless planning—this daily unpaid labor takes a real physical, emotional, and mental toll.
Globally, women and girls spend more than 2.5 times as many hours per day on unpaid care work as men. That means less time for higher education, paid career opportunities, community involvement, leadership, or simply well-deserved rest.
This International Day of Care and Support, the Zonta Club of Isabela stands with UN Women to challenge the traditional norms that keep care work unequal. To build a world where women thrive, we must advocate for shared responsibility at home and supportive social policies in our communities.
Let’s challenge expectations and step up together .
