Cave Formation Repair Project

🔹 WORSHOP HIGHLIGHT 🔹

Join us for the Speleothem Repair Workshop! The Cave Formation Repair and Restoration Workshop will help train and educate people on techniques and tools that we use to make formation repairs. 🌟

Day one will be a three-hour classroom training session, with workstations set up to prepare the participants on the use of the tools and techniques that we use to make repairs to broken cave formations. Day two will be a Field Trip to a local cave where the Speleothem Repair Workshop participants will get hands on training repairing broken formations.

Mike Mansur’s book, The Cave Formation Repair Project: Restoring the Beauty of America’s Great Caves, will be used as the textbook for the class. The $40 registration fee includes a signed copy of his book.

The Cave Formation and Restoration Projects, Inc. have successfully conducted an orientation program among Environmental Science students of SKSU - Tacurong. This activity not only broadened knowledge but also promoted sense of responsibility towards these fragile ecosystems. By sparking awareness to the students, this orientation served as a foundation for further conservation efforts and ensuring long-term protection. On ways forward, this initiatives ensure that future generations can responsibly explore and preserve these valuable cave systems.
