When ministry becomes a fruitful opportunity to bring valuable agendas that ignite the calling to serve and lead through laity empowerment, each one can validate the purpose of why they were chosen.

This meeting was able to cover relevant agenda that spoke about the fruitful journey of their leadership. Challenges were recognized as opportunities to develop effective and sustainable approaches.

Honoring our NLC Leaders who have dedicated their lives in the service of IFI laity community.

The second day of the NLC Capacity Building Training featured intensive learning sessions, meaningful discussions, and a reflective Solidarity Night focused on the current struggles confronting the nation.

Let’s look back at how we began the NLC Capacity Building Training last week in Cebu City! Lay leaders from across the IFI dioceses came together to learn, share, and celebrate their journeys of faith and service — filled with laughter and tears, victories and challenges — in their ministry to God and the people.

An evening that showcased the warm welcome of IFI Diocese of Cebu, when their hospitality was demonstrated through their sectoral presentations.

IFI Cebu City Cathedral, being the front liner of this diocesan hosting of a national gathering, gave out a remarkable reception to the lay leadership capacity building workshop participants.

Well done, IFI Cebu under the pastoral leadership of Bp. Alger Loyao, Sr., through the efforts of IFI Cebu City cathedral canon, Rev. Fr. Jonathan Pestaño.

To all the IFI Cebu Community, gratitude is to everyone who shared not only talents, resources, but time and efforts. May the good Lord, continue to bless each of you.

NLC Chaplain Bp. Joselito Cruz, in his keynote address, shared insightful remarks pointing on the affirmation of how lay people are made equipped by God to fulfill Christ’s mission. The laity are being reminded of the importance of his role in the fulfillment of God’s Kingdom.
