The National Lay Council Report to the 16th General Assembly:
The IFI National Lay Council - NLC shared its remarkable milestones with the august body of the 16th General Assembly through its council report, with immense gratitude, a deep sense of fulfillment, and a high level of confidence that the journey of the IFI laity is assured of becoming more empowered, capacitated, and meaningfully rooted in Christ’s discipleship.
Sis. Hazel Maglinte-Joyohoy, carrying the voice of the Trisectoral Organizations and serving as the Chairperson of the NLC, stood before the assembly to deliver the message of the council’s accomplishments, challenges and responses, and significant actions undertaken in the past years.
The fruitful journey of the NLC stands as a living affirmation of the IFI’s strong commitment to participatory ministry, servant leadership, and the continuing mission of building a Christ-centered and prophetic Church. Through unity, faith, and collective action, the laity has become an instrument of hope and renewal in the life of the Church and society.
The laity ministry has been carried through with grace and nourished by the faithfulness of the laity in embracing their sacred ministry, expressed through fruitful sectoral program thrusts and a rewarding life that witnesses the spirit and gift of presence. Guided by the Holy Spirit and strengthened by the enduring vision of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, the laity continues to shine as steadfast partners in mission, proclaiming God’s love through service, compassion, and active discipleship.
Patuloy tayo sa sama-samang paglalakbay sa ating Ministriya! Mabuhay ang mga Layko ng Iglesia Filipina Independiente!
