PARAÑAQUE CITY, Philippines — Inilunsad ng Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) noong Agosto 1 ang 2026 AAP Motorsport Championship, na may mga bagong kategorya at format ng kompetisyon upang matuklasan ang mas maraming mahuhusay na Pilipinong sim racers at mabigyan sila ng pagkakataong makipagsabayan sa internasyonal na entablado.

Kabilang sa mga tampok ngayong taon ang Formula 4, One Make Racing, GT3, Multi-Grid, Rally, Endurance Racing, Influencer vs. Media Race, at All-Women's Edition. Ayon sa AAP, layunin nitong palawakin ang oportunidad para sa mga nagnanais pumasok sa sim racing at mapaunlad ang esports motorsports sa bansa.

Magkakaroon din ng pagkakataong katawanin ang Pilipinas sa Thailand ang mga kampeon sa Formula 4, Pro Class, at One Make Racing. Samantala, mananatiling online ang kompetisyon upang maging mas accessible sa mga kalahok mula sa iba't ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Sa pamamagitan ng kampeonato, hangad ng AAP na matuklasan ang mga bagong talento at makapaglinang ng mas maraming Pilipinong sim racers na handang makipagsabayan sa pandaigdigang entablado.
