𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 - 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲, 𝟑𝟗𝐈𝐁.

Filled with bittersweet feeling and pride, the peace champions across the province of Davao del Sur have convened to celebrate the outgoing and incoming commanding officers of the Alpha Company, 39th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army on May 19, 2026 at the Alpha Company Headquarters. This event marked the continuing effort of the army to maintain peace and order and to rally peacebuilding initiatives towards sustainable development and excellence.

The turnover ceremony, as attended by important people and partner stakeholders and agencies, highlighted the collaborative efforts signifying the whole-of-community-approach in responding to civic-military endeavors and community development programs. With this, the YFPM-DavSur spearheaded by its president, Abigail Baysac, supported the said change of command to establish an empowered partnership guided by nationalism and youth advancement.

Monumental to the activity is the first ever Novelty Peace Champion Award which has been given to the outgoing commanding officer, CPT. Jerwin L. Esteban, a symbol of undeniable contribution to youth empowerment and in instilling the youth the quality of leadership skills that's strengthened through the test of time.

This endeavor symbolizes teamwork and collaboration in our pursuit of peace and solidarity. There may be a change of leader, but the love of service and the spirit of volunteerism echo loudly enabling a steadfast unity and collective action.

ARAL SUMMER PROGRAM: PROJECT HATOD (May 13-14,2026)

Two days outside the school, countless efforts for one goal, to serve and reach every learner. The teachers went to the far-flung areas, specifically Purok Star and Tinapay, to ensure that learning support reaches those who need it most.

This successful initiative reflects the power of unity and shared responsibility in ensuring that no learner is left behind. Our heartfelt thanks to Kagawad Revin Dela Cerna, 39th Infantry "Smash'Em" Battalion, Dsppo R-psb Cluster IX, PNP Balutakay, Bfp Rxi Balutakay Sub-Station and Youth for Peace Movement for their invaluable support, and commitment in making PROJECT HATOD possible.

On May 9, 2026, Project AMBAG (Aksyon Matinud-anon bisan Gamay Apan Gasa) was successfully conducted at Sitio Garuk, Brgy. Sibulan, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur. The outreach program aimed to extend not only assistance and donations, but also love, hope, unity, and compassion to the community.

The success of Project AMBAG was made possible through the collective efforts of volunteers, private entities, and everyone behind the event who generously shared their time, resources, and dedication. Special thanks are extended to LGU Santa Cruz, Prime Xynergies, Caring Hearts, Youth for Peace Movement - Davao del Sur, Local Youth Development Office - Sta. Cruz, MSWDO, and the 39th Infantry “Smash’Em” Battalion for their valuable support and commitment to the advocacy.

Heartfelt appreciation is also extended to the residents of Sitio Garuk for their warm welcome, active participation, and presence during the event.

|𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊| The Youth for Peace Movement - Davao del Sur Chapter commits to Project HATOD

The Youth for Peace Movement - Davao del Sur Chapter (YFPM Davao del Sur), headed by Ms. Abigail Baysac, attended the launching and MOA signing of Project HATOD, together with the 39th Infantry Battalion, led by Battalion Commander LTC Hector Estolas; and Bravo Company Commanding Officer 1LT Carl John C. Coronel, conducted at Balutakay Integrated School on April 6, 2026.

Project HATOD aligning the Department of Education’s ARAL Summer Program, brought together volunteer teachers from Balutakay Integrated School, Youth for Peace Movement Davao del Sur, and partner organizations to deliver tutorial and remedial sessions closer to students’ homes.

This initiative, spearheaded by Ma’am Charity Sayson, Principal II, institutionalizes ita objectives of bringing learning to far-flung communities of the school to answer the problem of the learners in travelling for several kilometers just to attend the said learning sessions. This further reflects YFPM’s continuing commitment to education and community service.

With a unified vision of delivering quality and accessible education to all learners, Balutakay Integrated School and its partner stakeholders uphold their commitment of collaboration and community development in pursuit of collective success.

The Youth for Peace Movement–TALBOS Santa Cruz Chapter is once again opening our hearts to serve and reach out to communities in need through our upcoming Community Outreach Program at Sitio Garuk, Barangay Sibulan Cluster 2, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur.

With this, we are humbly knocking on your kind hearts to ask for donations that can help bring joy, hope, and comfort to children and families who need our support. A simple act of kindness can already create a big difference in someone’s life. Your small donation may be ordinary to you, but for them, it can become a source of happiness, encouragement, and hope.

Back then, volunteers walked kilometers across elevated mountains just to reach the community—driven by a mission to serve, teach, and bring hope. 🥾⛰️

On May 1, 2026, they retraced those same trails and returned to 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐥, proving that every journey comes full circle. This time, each step carried deeper meaning—reminding us that every step we take can change lives and create lasting impact. 🤍

Through this initiative, we continue to turn small steps into meaningful miles—teaching basic education and empowering the children of the community with brighter opportunities. 📚✨

This special journey also celebrates the birthday of 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚 “𝐓𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐆”, who chose to mark another year of life through service—returning to the very place where it all began. 🎉

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 for bringing us back home to 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐥 and reminding us that true celebration is found in giving back. Together, we continue to walk the path of peace, one step at a time. 🕊️

The Youth for Peace Movement – TALBOS Santa Cruz Chapter, in partnership with the Alpha Coy 39th Infantry Battalion, successfully conducted a Community Needs and Pre-Reading Assessment Activity in Sitio Mariras, Barangay Sibulan Cluster 2, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur on April 26, 2026.

We were not only welcomed into a community, but into a space of trust and collaboration. With warm hospitality, Purok Leader Mrs. Liticia Lamba, Matanam Rudy B. Onto, Barangay Tribal Council of Sibulan Cluster 2 and Hon. Angil Madie Dagangun, Barangay Councilor, joined and welcomed the team, showing strong support and openness for the initiative.

This initiative serves as a vital step in the preparation for Project Tummadú Year 4. The assessment acts as a crucial foundation before the implementation of the actual project, ensuring that all actions are anchored in the real needs, context, and voices of the community. Through this process, the project becomes more responsive, meaningful, and impactful.
