ANNOUNCEMENT | Herewith is the Official List of Qualified Participants for the Emergency Service Training Course on May 11-16, 2026 at Hagonoy National High School, Guihing, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur.

The Pre-Qualifying Test was conducted last April 10, 2026 at BSP Council Grounds, Digos City and Pogpog Elementary School, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. 160 applicants attended the pre-test but only 75 successfully passed the test.

On to the next step and good luck to all participants! 💪🇵🇭🎖️

The Local Council Executive Board convened its 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 on April 11, 2026, to discuss key matters for the council’s growth and development.

The meeting was attended by 𝟭𝟬 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 board members, along with 𝟰 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 representatives, 𝟮 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁 representatives, 𝟮 delegates from the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 of Digos City and Davao del Sur, and a representative from 𝗚𝗦𝗣.

The board reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening programs and advancing the mission of Scouting in the council.

Pre-test completed for the upcoming Emergency Service Training Course (May 11–16, 2026) 🚨

Over 150 scouts showed up ready to take on the challenge but only less than half will advance to the official course.

Participants were pushed through rigorous Physical, IQ, and Skills assessments designed to prepare them for the real demands of emergency response. ⚜️

REGIONAL SCOUT YOUTH FORUM 2026

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Davao del Sur-Occidental Council proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to our very own Council Scout Representatives who have brought honor and pride to our Council.

To Sct. Art Rovic Balawag and Sct. Hannah Nicole Celendron Tiquio, our Council Scout Representatives and Regional Scout Representatives for 2025–2026, we express our deepest gratitude for your service and unwavering commitment. As members of the Organizing Committee during the conduct of Regional Scout Youth Forum 2026, you have shown dedication beyond measure. Thank you for always being “one call away”— despite distance, time, and challenges, you continue to find ways to serve and uplift our Council.

To our newly elected Council Scout Representatives, Scout Ryn Jian Baron and Scout Nique Hjordis Baura we commend you for embracing the responsibilities entrusted to you. May you carry forward the spirit of service instilled by your seniors and continue to inspire others through your leadership.

In addition to this honor, we proudly recognize Scout Ryn Jian Baron for being elected as the Regional Scout Representative 1 of the Eastern Mindanao Region. She will represent the Eastern Mindanao Region alongside five other elected representatives at the upcoming National Scout Youth Forum in Capiz this April. This achievement is a true testament to the strength and excellence of our Council.

Our Deputy Secretary General, Mr. David Lanuza from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines National Office, together with our Council Officials, paid a courtesy call to the Municipal Mayor of Matanao, Hon. Mayor DodoCagasboy Irick Agbon, to discuss the possibility of hosting future scouting activities in the municipality.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Agbon for the warm welcome and support to the Scouting movement, as well as to our Guest of Honor, Mr. Lanuza, for his continued guidance and commitment to strengthening Scouting in our communities.
