On August 12, 2026, the Emergency Response Team (ERT), together with the Atheneum students, mayors, scouts, and SSLG, participated in a Fire Safety Education and Awareness Program led by the Cebu City Bureau of Fire Protection.

The program featured ๐…๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐จ ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฌ, ๐…๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐’๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ฅ, and ๐…๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฑ ๐Œ๐ž๐ญ๐œ๐ก๐š๐œ๐š, who shared essential knowledge on fire prevention, emergency reporting, proper response, and the correct use of a fire extinguisher through the T.P.A.S.S. method. The participants also took part in a hands-on fire extinguisher demonstration and fire drill simulation, strengthening their preparedness and awareness during emergencies.

The Emergency Response Team successfully provided service during the Talent Festival and Nutrition Month Culminating Activity held at ACT Cyber Tower 1 on July 31, 2026.

The ERT Screening Day has officially concluded, marking the first step in the journey of aspiring responders. Through a series of physical assessments, each applicant demonstrated their determination, endurance, and willingness to serve beyond themselves. Every challenge faced today reflects the commitment required to become a member of the Emergency Response Team.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10121 and Executive Order No. 29, s. 2017, which institutionalize the country's disaster risk reduction efforts and designate the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month every July, we are reminded that every second matters and every act of preparedness makes a difference.

As we observe National Disaster Resilience Month, the Emergency Response Team remains steadfast in its commitment to serve, respond, and stand with the community in times of need. Resilience begins with awareness, grows through preparedness, and is strengthened by unity.
