Sometime in the year 2020 while the Catbalogan City Eagles Club was recruiting for expansion of the TFOE-PE members in Samar Province, four of its members namely Eagle Mario Rodgie R. Babon decided to transfer from Catbalogan City Eagles Club and helped in organizing the Central Sagubay Eagles Club. The recruitment ended on February 21, 2021 where 28 members were inducted at the Oriental Hotel, P
alo Leyte together with two other clubs under the TFOE(PE), Central Catbalogan Eagles Club and Central Kasugbong Eagles Club. The Guest of Honor and Speaker(GOHAS) during the induction was Eagle Congressman Michael T. The reason for the transfer of the two eagle clubs was because of the SEC registration of the Yakap PE it being in the year 2008 and the Intelectual Property Office having recognized Yakap( PE) as the legitimate owner of the Eagles Magna Carta, Eagles Logo and other Paraphernalia. While under TFOE-PE the Sagubay Eagles Club initiated the creation of the Kasugbong Eagles Club where its original members were mostly from the Department of Education. However, they were formally inducted under the Yakap PE together with the Central Catbalogan City Eagles Club and the Central Sagubay Eagles Club. The Charter President is Eagle Wigberto “Bel” Belizar, Jr. And the Vice-President was Eagle Jay G. Abia and 28 members. Since induction to present eagle year 2023 there are almost 50 members/kuya of the club. The club has already rendered worthy community services like distribution of School Uniforms to the pupils of San Juan Elementary School, Sta. Rita., Contruction of a concrete Pathway allowing vehicles to enter and park in Panugmonon Elementary School, Basey, Samar, Installation of a Hand Water Pump at Malino Elementary School, Jiabong Samar in partnership with the Rotary Club of Tacloban. And the distribution of School and Office Supplies, Printer and Ink, Slippers and Feeding several school children in the Province of Samar. Tree planting were also done in the barangays of Tarangnan and Jiabong Samar. For EY2023 the club adopted Sta. Cruz Elementary and Palencia Elementary Schools, Tarangnan District, Tarangnan where in the 2023 Brigada Eskwela Activity it distributed paints, nails, paint brush, school and office supplies. Some minor repairs in the schools will be taken cared of the club. Recruitment of additional members, creation of a Lady Eagles Club is undertaken by the club to sustain the “Services Trough Strong Brotherhood” and pursue the Eagles Mantra “People who helps People, thats what we are for”.
