🎉 SUCCESSFUL DAY 1 OF THE GAD SEMINAR!

Today marks a successful start to our Gender and Development (GAD) 3-day seminar and student conversation on Traditional Gender Roles and Gender Equality.
The event began with an inspiring Opening Program led by our emcees John Lee R. Teves and Mary Ann Tupaz, followed by a heartfelt prayer.
Opening Remarks were delivered by Ms. Veronica G. Buenaventura, Director of Quality Assurance, who shared the importance of gender awareness in education and community.
Dr. Renor N. Apela, Dean of ICJEGPS, gave words of acknowledgment to participants and encouraged active engagement.
Ma. Ivy G. Gacosta, GAD Focal Person, presented the Program Overview, setting the tone for the day’s discussions.
The main session on GAD Mainstreaming and Gender Sensitivity was excellently facilitated by Ms. Charmaine R. Quiña, Assistant Professor from Samar State University.
The day was filled with fun, learning, and interaction from the Ice Breaker sessions to the exciting Gender Match-Up Games that promoted teamwork and inclusivity.
The session concluded with insightful reflections and takeaways shared by Mr. Carl Francis Carcellar, emphasizing the importance of equality and respect for all genders.
