FLORES DE MAYO IS COMING! 🌸
The month of May is just around the corner—a time of beauty, devotion, and love for the Blessed Mother. In the Philippines, Flores de Mayo is more than just a tradition; it is a heartfelt offering of flowers, prayers, and songs to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Each day of May, children, youth, and families gather in churches and communities to offer fresh flowers, symbolizing purity, gratitude, and love. It’s a simple yet powerful reminder that even the smallest acts—like offering a flower—can be a beautiful gift when done with a sincere heart.
This devotion often culminates in the colorful and meaningful Santacruzan, a procession that celebrates the finding of the Holy Cross by Saint Helena. With beautifully dressed “Reynas,” it becomes a living reflection of faith, virtue, and history.
