This week, meet 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐛𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬 ♿💖 — a woman living with orthopedic disability whose strength is rooted in faith, love, and acceptance.

She finds daily inspiration in praising God and in the unwavering support of her family and life partner, who fully accepts her despite her disability. Their love and encouragement give her the strength to move forward each day.

One of her proudest moments this year is being respected as a person with disability and being recognized through her involvement in the organization.

Rowena believes organizations can support women with disabilities through empowerment, education, and livelihood opportunities with proper guidance and management, helping them live with dignity and confidence. 🌈✨

🌹 Week 11: Women of Power, Women of Purpose 🌹

This week, meet 𝐀𝐝𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫 ♿💖 from Barangay Bonbon, Cagayan de Oro — a determined mother whose strength comes from her love and dedication to her children.

She finds daily motivation in working hard to provide for her family and build a better future for them. One of her proudest achievements last year was finally securing a stall in Cogon with her own roll-up store, a dream she worked for over ten years.

Ada dreams of reaching a higher level in Avon and becoming an Executive Leader, while also encouraging other women with disabilities to join her Avon negosyo, a business opportunity that requires no capital but dedication and perseverance. 🌈✨

This week, meet 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐫 ♿💖 from Barangay Cogon, El Salvador City — a resilient woman inspired by gratitude and perseverance.

She finds daily motivation in thanking God for the gift of life and the strength to continue serving her family and community.

One of her proudest achievements last year was being entrusted to manage the Pasalubong Center and becoming a member of the City Development Council.

Mila dreams of having a stable job with full benefits and believes DAWN can help by creating partnerships and livelihood opportunities for women with disabilities. 🌈✨

🌹 Week 9: Women of Power, Women of Purpose 🌹

This week, meet 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐁. 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐝 ♿💖 — a woman living with orthopedic disability due to polio, whose strength comes from the love of her family.

She shares that her daily inspiration is her family, especially her husband, who is also a person with disability, and their child, who give her the motivation to keep going.

One of her proudest moments this year is being able to join activities for persons with disabilities, allowing her to connect and be part of the community.

Glorina believes that organizations can better support women with disabilities by providing accessible meetings, trainings, and opportunities for active participation. 🌈✨

She finds daily motivation in trusting God’s provision to sustain her family’s needs. One of her proudest achievements in 2025 is seeing her child become a Registered Social Worker and board passer, a milestone that brings her great joy and pride.

Teresita dreams of having a stable job and continues to trust God to guide her path. She believes organizations can support persons with disabilities by connecting them with agencies, recognizing their talents and capabilities, and creating opportunities for meaningful employment. 🌈✨

This week, meet 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐏. 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬 ♿💖 from Barangay Macasandig — a determined young leader whose strength comes from the support of her family, her greatest believers and source of confidence.

One of her proudest achievements is graduating Magna Cum Laude from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, proving that disability is never a barrier to reaching one’s goals. She now serves in government while continuing to advocate for persons with disabilities and a more inclusive community.

Erika dreams of empowering the younger generation of PWDs to recognize their strengths and rise as future leaders. She believes organizations like DAWN help amplify voices, strengthen awareness, and inspire women with disabilities to pursue their dreams. 🌈✨

🌸👣 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. ♿💜

The Differently-Abled Women Network (DAWN) proudly joined the Stride for Equality community walk in Cagayan de Oro as part of the National Women’s Month celebration. 👩‍🦽👩‍🦯✨

During the program, DAWN representatives delivered the Call for Equality 📣, highlighting the continued need for stronger accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for women with disabilities.

Consequently, DAWN also joined the SAMA-SAMA Project training, where participants engaged in a small group discussion on DAWN’s vision for 2035 and the collective steps needed to move closer to that goal. 🤝🌱

Together, we continue to raise our voices and take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive and empowering society for all. 🌈
