First month. First rescue. 🤍

After seven months of continuous coordination, meetings, tracking, and tracing, our team was finally able to rescue a minor victim of trafficking.

The rescue operation was led by Streetlight: Suga sa Dalan Organization, Inc. in close coordination with COCPO–WCPD, CSWD-ORPC, CSWD District 2B, and barangay workers.

Along with the minor, two young children aged 3 and 5 were also brought to safety after being found without proper care. All children were immediately brought for medical check-up at JR Borja Hospital and are now temporarily under the custody od CSWD.

This rescue reminds us why we continue even when the work is difficult and exhausting.
Every child deserves protection, safety, and a future free from exploitation.

The fight against trafficking is far from over, but we remain hopeful and committed.
For every life reached, every step is worth it. ✨

On October 25, 2025, Streetlight led another major rescue operation. In collaboration with CSWD-ORPC and the WCPDs from the COCPO Headquarter, PS2, PS3, and PS5, we were able to rescue 16 minors at coastal road. They violated the curfew hours for minors, some were drinking alcohol, and some were driving motors without having a license and helmets. The 6 girls and 10 boys were brought to the OKK where their cases were assessed. We are grateful that none of them is involved in trafficking activities and prostitution. We enlightened them about the risks they expose themselves by roaming around at night time in this area which is a hotspot for child prostitution. Most of the minors were picked up and turned over to their parents/legal guardians after reminding them of their responsibility as parents. The rest was turned over to the responsible barangay tanods and we will conduct home visits next week. The operation ended at around 4am on October 26.
