SCOTTISH RITE TEMPLE, NUEVA VIZCAYA โ€” Last April 26, 2026, the members of Villaverde Chapter No. 26, Order of DeMolay, held a Masonic Service Project at the Scottish Rite Temple grounds, the very place that serves as home to many of our rituals and gatherings.

DeMolays worked together in cutting overgrown foliage, removing trash, pulling weeds, and tending the soil around the Temple. These simple efforts helped restore cleanliness and brought a fresher look to the surroundings.

The activity is an application of the Second Cardinal Virtue of a DeMolay โ€” ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐’๐š๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐“๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ . It reminded us to give respect and care to places that hold meaning in our journey as DeMolays and as one Masonic Family.

Through this service, we showed gratitude to the structure that continues to stand as a witness to our growth as DeMolays. It remains a place we honor not only in word, but also in action.

Who are we without the women who first taught us how to stand with courage, speak with kindness, and live with love?

Before we became young men striving to uphold honor and brotherhood, we were first sons held by gentle hands and guided by patient hearts. Every lesson we carry today traces back to the women who raised us. The respect we show, the strength we strive for, and the manhood we continue to build were all first nurtured at home by mothers whose love never asked for recognition in return.

This Motherโ€™s Day, our Chapter offers not only photographs placed inside frames, but memories filled with gratitude. Every picture pinned upon this wall tells a story of sacrifice and devotion. Behind every smile captured is a mother who stayed awake during our hardest nights, prayed for us during uncertain times, and believed in us long before we learned to believe in ourselves.

As DeMolays, we are taught through the Flower Talk that flowers are among the purest symbols of love and remembrance. They may fade with time, yet the meaning they carry remains forever in the hearts of those who receive them. In the same way, moments may pass and years may change us, but a motherโ€™s love continues to bloom within our lives long after childhood has gone.

The Love We Frame is our simple offering of appreciation to the women whose sacrifices cannot be measured by words alone. Held on April 19, 2026 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, this yearโ€™s event continued its purpose of standing behind future lawyers, reminding them that their journey is supported not only by personal effort but also by collective encouragement and service.

The Villaverde Chapter No. 26 contributed by providing and manning water and aid stations throughout the run, ensuring the safety and hydration of participants. This direct act of service reflects the projectโ€™s goal of supporting examinees in practical and meaningful ways during their preparation journey.

The continued success of this nine-year collaboration has been made possible through the dedication of Bro. Dwight Dangilan, whose efforts have helped sustain and strengthen the partnership each year.

As a symbol of this shared commitment, the Chapterโ€™s logo was featured on the official Run for the Bar shirt, reflecting the unity between SMU-COL and the Order of DeMolay in supporting aspiring lawyers.
