𝗣𝗮𝗴 𝗔𝘀𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 is expected to have 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿. Please pray that the farm will bear a good and fruitful final harvest.

Here is a glimpse of 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 today.

In particular, 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝗮𝘁 𝟯:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠, we will be holding our youth program, ““𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿!” We especially hope that this will be an opportunity for young people who have stopped attending church to take a step back into the church community and reconnect with their faith.

Faith church Sunday Worship Service and Family Day

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡?
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡?

Revelation 1:12–20
Matthew 16:13–23

We confess that 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲

Then we need to ask an important question:

“𝐈𝐬 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡?”

In Revelation 1, Jesus is shown walking among the seven golden lampstands and holding the seven stars in His right hand.

The seven golden lampstands represent the churches.

Jesus is not far away from His church.
He is present among His churches, watching what they do, what they say, what they love, and 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠.

In Matthew 16, Peter confessed that Jesus is the Christ.
But shortly afterward, when Jesus spoke about His coming suffering and the cross, Peter tried to stop Him.

Peter loved Jesus.
He wanted to protect Jesus.

But Jesus said to Peter:

“𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬.”

Sometimes, even when we think we are doing something for Jesus, we may actually put our own thoughts, plans, and desires before God’s will.

So the church must continually ask:

“𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬?”

“𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝?”

“𝐃𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧?”

And there is another important question:

“𝐃𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝?”

Simply reading the Bible, hearing God’s Word, and knowing the Scriptures is not enough.

𝐈𝐟 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝?

God’s Word was not given simply to fill our minds with knowledge.
It was given 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬.

The religious leaders in Jesus’ time also knew the Scriptures very well.
But Jesus said that they sought glory from one another rather than the glory that comes from God.

So in the end, we must ask:

“𝐖𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠?”

When we desire human approval and honor too much, there may come a time when the voice of people becomes louder than the voice of God.

And this is not only a problem for the church.

We must also ask:

“𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞?”

Am I living according to my own thoughts and desires while still calling Jesus my Lord?

The church does not belong to us.

The church belongs to Christ.

The church is the body of Christ and the bride of Christ.
And Jesus Christ loves His bride and gave His life for her.

Therefore, we should confess:

“𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞. 𝐈𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮.”

And at the same time:

“Lord, my life is not mine. It belongs to You.”

True restoration of the church begins not when people become the center, but when 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧.

May our worship point to Jesus,
may our decisions follow His will,
may our service show His love,
and may our lives acknowledge Jesus as our Lord.

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡.
𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬.

By your prayers and love, we have safely completed our relief trip to the Mangyan community.

The Mangyan village in Calomintao, Occidental Mindoro has been facing many difficulties because of the long and heavy rains that have continued for more than two months. When we arrived and checked the situation, we learned that most of the families had been struggling with a lack of food, and many had been forced to survive by eating roots from the trees.

When we delivered the food, clothing, and other relief supplies we had prepared, some of the people shed tears as they expressed their gratitude. As I watched them, I was reminded that even though what we were able to prepare may not have been much, it was exactly the kind of help they needed at that moment.

I imagine last saturday, because of the love you have sent, they may be cooking and enjoying a warm meal of rice and having a little more peaceful and joyful weekend.

After delivering the relief supplies, we visited different parts of the Mangyan community to prepare for the mission training of second-generation young adults from Korean churches in Australia, which is planned for this coming December. We checked whether the village would be suitable for their accommodation and activities.

After that, we also visited Pag Asa Farm. Contrary to what we had worried about, the rice was growing much better than expected. Only a small portion of the fields was damaged by the flooding, and if the current condition continues, we expect that the rice may be ready for harvest in about two months.

Seeing the rice growing again despite all the difficulties filled our hearts with gratitude.

Above all, through this trip, we once again experienced how God uses our small acts of service for His purposes.

We were especially grateful to see how churches and believers in Korea, together with missionaries from different denominations here in the Philippines, could be connected and serve together as one in God’s work.

Even if you could not physically come with us, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲.

We pray that through our small hands and simple acts of service, God’s love will continue to flow to “the least of these” in this land.

Strengthened by your prayers and love,
we will continue to walk here according to the heart of God,
serving wherever He leads us.

“𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲.”
— Matthew 25:40

The long rains that have continued for more than two months have made this an especially difficult time for our Mangyan brothers and sisters in Mindoro.

Because of the continuous heavy rain, roads have been washed away, leaving the village completely isolated for some time. Even now, the roads leading into the village remain extremely dangerous and difficult to pass because of the strong waters rushing down from the mountains. Most of all, some of our brothers and sisters are struggling with hunger because there is not enough food.

So tonight, we are preparing and loading food, clothing, and other relief supplies, and we will be leaving for the Mangyan village.

We are deeply grateful to every individual and community who, after hearing about the flooding in our mission field, chose to stand with us through financial support and donated supplies, even in the midst of your own difficult circumstances. Your love and service are more than just material help here—they are bringing comfort, encouragement, and hope to people who are going through a very difficult time.

There is still a possibility that access to the village may be difficult. However, once we arrive and assess the situation, if necessary, we plan to use a tractor from the Hope Farm to deliver the relief supplies to the village on Saturday, even if it means taking a more difficult route.

Please continue to pray that every part of this relief trip will be carried out safely and that the supplies will reach the people who need them most.

For this trip, we are especially thankful that a fellow missionary from GMS will be joining us. In December, a group of second-generation Korean young adults from Korean churches in Australia will be visiting our mission field for mission training. This trip also serves as a preliminary visit to help prepare for their upcoming ministry.

Although we may serve in different places and in different ways, ultimately, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱.

And God continues to accomplish His work through our small acts of love and service.

Please continue to pray that we will be able to complete every part of this relief trip safely and return home safely.

Because of your prayers and support, we are able to continue sharing the love of God here in the mission field.

Faith church Sunday Worship Service.

𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻
Mark 5:1–20

Jesus crossed the stormy Sea of Galilee to meet 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 in the region of Gerasenes.

To others, this man may have seemed worthless and hopeless. But 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀, 𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀.

It is the same for us today. Even when we are weak, when we fail, or when others turn away from us, Jesus never gives up on us. 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻.

But receiving His grace is not the end. Just as Jesus gave the healed man a new life and a new mission, we are also called to 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀.

The world values money, success, and possessions. But Jesus values 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲.

May we have the heart of Jesus—loving, caring for, and serving even one person whom the world may overlook.

𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.
