During our family time, we have Worship Night together, and some of the boys began expressing a desire to learn instruments so that one day we could have our own worship team.

So, we started a weekly practice! But it’s about more than learning to play. It’s a time of helping the boys seek God and grow in their Heart, Skill, Faithfulness, and Servant Leadership.

We’re also so grateful for people who come alongside us in this journey. Jenry and Dee have so willingly stepped in to lead and mentor the boys, investing their time and hearts in helping these young men grow in their skills, faith, and love for worship. We are truly thankful for them! ❤️

One of our boys recently received a very special recognition at school, the Outstanding Student Award for Resilience and Perseverance. This honor is given to a student who, despite significant challenges in life, continues to pursue education with determination, resilience, and courage.

At 16 years old, 'G' has just completed 6th grade. His journey has been anything but easy. During his childhood, his family was torn apart and left without parental care.

G's story is not unique. It reflects the experiences of many of the young men in our care. Because of difficult life circumstances, several have fallen behind in their education. Yet they continue to move forward with perseverance and hope. The road is challenging, and the progress is often hard-earned, but they refuse to give up. They are overcomers.

More importantly, they are deeply loved by God, by our team, and by the community of supporters who continue to believe in their future. Thank you for walking alongside them and helping make stories like G's possible.

Trauma-Informed Care Training | June 23–24

This training was a meaningful reminder that behind every behavior is a story, and every story calls us to respond with compassion and understanding. As we continue to learn and grow together as a team, we are better equipped to build trusting relationships and create a safe, nurturing environment where healing, resilience, and hope can flourish.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Katchie for sharing her knowledge and practical ways that will strengthen our team and help us better support the young men we serve.

It’s been a week since the boys returned to school, and we’re excited for all that this new school year will bring. This year, we have 1 student in elementary school, 12 in high school, 2 incoming college freshmen, 2 college sophomores, 1 college senior, and 1 community scholar who is completing his on-the-job training.

As we watch these young men continue to grow and pursue their education, we are reminded of how much your support means. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity help make opportunities like these possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for partnering with us and investing in the lives of these boys. Together, we are making a difference, one life at a time. ❤️

She is fun, authentic, encouraging, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She brings out the best in people and creates spaces where others feel seen, loved, and cared for. She is an ally, an advocate, and someone who faithfully stands beside others when they need support the most.

The staff and boys of Children’s Garden participated in a Fire Drill and Fire Prevention Seminar to learn more about fire safety and what to do during an emergency. Activities like this help us stay prepared and keep everyone safe.
