Through Executive Order No. 059, Series of 2026, Acting Municipal Mayor Hon. Jesus B. Quimpo suspended classes at all levels and work in public and private schools in New Washington, Aklan, on Monday, October 5, 2026. This is in honor of World Teachersโ€™ Day and National Teachersโ€™ Month.

The suspension gives teachers and school staff time to participate in activities celebrating and recognizing their valuable contributions to education.
