🐈Kitten Season🐈

We have had an influx of calls lately asking if we have kittens available for adoption.
While we know they are out there, we have not received any kittens...yet. 🙀 Hopefully this means people have been desexing their cats! 💙

We advertise all animals for adoption on our website; it is live and kept up to date. If you are looking at adding a little furry friend to your family, please keep an eye out here: https://www.spca.nz/adopt

🐾 Last Call to Secure a Stall! 🐾
As part of Whanganui SPCA's 125th Birthday Celebrations, we're excited to host our first ever Pet Expo (and Open Day)!
We're inviting local animal-centered businesses to join us by hosting a stall at this special community event. Whether you offer pet products, services, training, grooming, photography, handmade items, or anything else for our furry, feathered, or scaled friends, we'd love to hear from you!
📅 Sunday 8th November
🕙 10:00am – 3:00pm
📍 134 London Street @ Whanganui SPCA Centre
✨ Stall spaces are available by Koha.
Stallholders must provide their own table and/or gazebo. Spaces are limited, so get in quick!
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business, meet fellow animal lovers, and help us celebrate 125 years of caring for animals in Whanganui.
If you'd like to be part of this exciting day, please email [email protected] to register your interest. We can't wait to celebrate with our community!

Can you give 2 hours of your time for the animals? 🐶🐱

We need volunteer street collectors for our Fill the Bucket street appeal, which is taking place on 30 and 31 October in Whanganui and all around the country!

What's involved:
👉 Just 2 hours of your time (or more if you like) on either Friday 30 or Saturday 31 October
👉 Working in pairs at a collection site in your area, collecting donations from the public
👉 You'll be provided with the collection bucket, bibs, and stickers.
👉 You're welcome to bring your dog with you! Just remember to bring their water bowl and bags.

Every cent donated from our Fill the Bucket street appeal goes back to the thousands of animals that we help each year. This is a critical fundraiser, and we couldn't do it without our collection volunteers!

Please share this far and wide across your local community groups, and sign up here: https://spcanz.cervistech.com/acts/webreg/eventwebreglist.php?org_id=0431&event_category_id=66
