Meet our Kaimahi | Ngā kanohi o Te Oranganui💚

It takes a wide range of skills, passion, and heart to support the mahi we do every day.

Every day, Cornell works alongside tāngata whaikaha like Aaron, supporting independence, building confidence, and helping people achieve their goals. Through our Disability Services, we're committed to empowering whānau to live fulfilling lives and participate fully in their communities.

A huge congratulations goes out to our unassuming and very humble Toiora Whānau Kaitātaki Team Lead Mariu Nepia for crushing the Sky Tower Challenge 2026 at the weekend! We are all very proud of you!

51 floors and 1,029 steps - I'll just leave this right here... 🤔😱🙌🏾

What an awesome moment for our brigade and our community. Seeing Mariu Nepia ( #842) complete the Sky Tower Challenge as the first ever member from Ratana Volunteer Fire Brigade to do it is something we’re all proud of.
Anyone who knows Mariu knows the determination and heart he puts into everything he does, and this challenge showed exactly that. 51 floors and 1,029 steps in full gear is tough both physically and mentally, but he pushed through and represented our brigade with pride right to the finish.
As a brigade, we’re proud to stand behind him, and as a community, we’re proud to call him one of our own. Mariu carried not only the gear up those stairs, but the support and pride of Ratana with him the whole way. Massive respect brother — you’ve made history for our brigade and inspired the rest of us.

🌿Whanganui Rangatahi Wellbeing Expo🏋🏽‍♀️
Yesterday our kaimahi were proud to be part of the Rangatahi Wellbeing Expo at Whanganui City College, alongside an amazing collective of local youth providers.

It was a high-energy day filled with hands-on activities from sensory challenges and slime-making to tā moko, ukutangi creation, and conversations around wellbeing.

Most rewarding of all was seeing rangatahi step out of their comfort zones, support one another, and engage in ways that felt safe, fun, and meaningful.
Huge mihi to our dedicated kaimahi and the awesome rangatahi who brought the day to life. 💛
