Transformation has begun!

Huge thanks to Brad from Nelson Glass Care Service for dedicating his time to removing the old frosted glass and installing brand new sparkling clear glass for our front room that will be used as an office and packgaing space. What a view..😍

This is only the beginning and we can't wait to take you along for the ride.

We have received a few offers of help with labour, and we are taking those up, so please don't be a stranger if you have some skills to offer.

If you are needing any glass work completed around your home or business, be sure to get in touch with Brad. Outstanding job!

As begin the process of creating our very own Big Bake Up space that includes a kitchen, office and packaging space for continuing our kindness project we need support along the way.
For the growth of our charity this is extremely necessary but we need the communities support as alone the project feels huge!
We would love to see others become involved in this journey and please don't be scared off thinking once you commit you will get stuck. As with our cook ups, people give as little or as much as they wish to commit to.

FIRST OFF > We have two store rooms ready to paint. Taking them from a concrete wall to a fresh white finish which will make it nice and clean with a brighter room for our food storage.

This is what we call human kindness in true form. We have been a little lost for words if I am honest at how generous Arun and his family have been to support our charity. Indian Kitchen at Hope is somewhere we should all be supporting as a community and the wider area of Nelson Tasman.

Restaurant steps up after charity loses meals

A care parcel delivery this afternoon to Appleby School. On arrival I was caught in awe of the colours of autumn.🍂

Today we picked up our part order of gifted meals from Indian Kitchen at Hope. 💛

The generosity behind these meals reflects everything The Big Bake Up stands for—supporting people when they need it most. We’re incredibly grateful to have built this relationship with the amazing team at Indian Kitchen, and we’re proud to support them in return.

We hope our community will join us in doing the same. 🙌

Introducing our newly installed Wakefield Community Pantry Stand sign. Thanks to for their sponsorship, its great to finally have our sponsors recognised for their contribution.

Come and grab some fresh veges today, the stand is chocker full. Be generous with your coins as we have suffered a major loss this weekend of approximately $1000 with the loss of our freezer stock. All funds go directly back into the community.
