Waihi Community Resource Centre Working alongside the Waihi community for over 25 years. We are here to help. We also act as the connection agency for elder support services in the local area.

We offer a range of support services, and can give friendly & confidential advice and information. We offer a range of Social Worker and Youth Mentoring services, as well as a community Lunch initiative and community garden. Please come in and see us, 9am-3pm Mon-Fri or phone 07 863 7555

Just a reminder our after-school Kids Club is up and running on a Tuesday.

We are extremely grateful for the support OceanaGold Waihi provide in being able to continue to have this space for our rangatahi.

We do have some spots available for your rangatahi to register. Spaces are limited, so please feel free to get in touch for further information. Come and have a kai!

Kia Ora Community,

With the colder months fast approaching we are on the lookout for some much needed warm pre loved good quality clothing for our little tykes to teenagers. We are also needing bedding – warm blankets preferably. Also slippers, warm PJ’s , winter jackets and clothing such as hoodies warm jerseys/ jumpers would be so appreciated.

If you have any of these items please come on down to the Waihi Community Resource Centre and donate .

Our next Little Tykes to Teens Clothing Swap will be held on the 25th of June from 1pm to 3pm at the Resource Centre.

IRD offer face-to-face advisories for anyone needing support, including:
➡️ One-on-one advice and support managing your income details
➡️ Information for families and individuals
➡️ Support with GST, tax, and our online services (myIR)
For businesses, we can assist with:
➡️ Seminars, webinars, and workshops on starting and running a business
➡️ Record keeping, filing, and amending returns
➡️ Registering and managing GST
➡️ Employing staff and other related topics

Location: Waihi Community Resource Centre, 4 Mueller Street, Waihi. Phone: 07 863 7555.
Time: 10am - 1pm. Day: Third Thursday of each month by appointment only. The next free date is Thursday 18th June.

Just a friendly reminder that the Chinwag Café is running every Friday from 10am - 11.30am (except public holiday's) here at the Waihi Community Resource Centre thanks to Age Concern Hauraki Coromandel.

The Chinwag Cafe is a social get-together of adults who enjoy a ‘cuppa’ and a good old chinwag in the company of like-minded people.​ Chinwag helps you to connect with others, which can reduce feelings of loneliness or social isolation.

Social isolation can negatively impact your health but keeping connected can help to improve your feelings of wellness.

So, give Chinwag a go……. You might even enjoy the connections, conversations, and companionship. And you are bound to enjoy the cake.
