Do these 2-sec checks before hitting the road with your tamariki and you'll know they're buckled in safely!

📏 INCH TEST
Once the car seat is installed, give it a good tug at the point where the seat belt or lower anchor strap (IsoFix or Latch strap) goes through the car seat. A correctly installed car seat shouldn't move more than an inch side-to-side or front-to-back. It's important to check this regularly.

🤏 PINCH TEST
After you buckle and tighten the harness, pinch the harness at the shoulder. If the harness is snug, your fingers will slide off the webbing. If it's loose, you'll be able to pinch the webbing between your fingers.

If you're ever unsure if a car seat is installed correctly, seek help from a Child Restraint technician.

10,000 vaccinations and counting!

We’re celebrating a huge milestone at Whānau Āwhina Plunket. We’ve now delivered more than 10,000 vaccinations to pēpi, tamariki and whānau across Aotearoa.

Through our 24 vaccination clinics across the motu, we’re helping make it easier for whānau to access childhood immunisations in communities they know and trust.

We’re also now offering free flu vaccinations for eligible tamariki and whānau, helping protect families this winter.

This milestone belongs to our incredible kaimahi and most importantly, the whānau who have trusted us to care for their loved ones.

Every vaccination represents a whānau choosing protection. A pēpi getting the best possible start. A parent taking a simple step to keep their whānau well.
