πŸ‡ΌπŸ‡Έ Happy Samoan Language Week 2026! πŸ‡ΌπŸ‡Έ

As we celebrate Samoan Language Week from 31 May to 6 June, let us take pride in our language, culture, and heritage. This year's theme, "E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le nu'u" (From the high mountains are the blessings of the village), reminds us to value the wisdom, strength, and blessings passed down through our families and communities.

Let's continue to speak, learn, and share the beautiful Samoan language with future generations.

Today we had the privilege of being invited to join the South Canterbury Rugby Pasefika Rugby Festival at Fraser Park Stadium.

It was a fantastic day in a friendly Pacific environment, bringing together players and supporters from the Fijian, Tongan, Māori, and Samoan communities. The festival was a great opportunity to connect, build friendships, and strengthen relationships through rugby.

Events like this are important because they help bring our communities together, not only on the field but also off the field. It was wonderful to see players fellowship, support one another, and gain a better understanding of each other's cultures and communities.

A big thank you to Andy Colvill, and our awesome Referee, teams, and supporters who made the day such a success. We look forward to more opportunities to connect and celebrate our Pacific spirit through sport.

Congratulations to the Tongan Society South Canterbury on celebrating your 10th Anniversary today!

It was a great honour and privilege to be invited to join your team and be part of this special celebration. The event was beautiful, well organised, and a wonderful reflection of the strong Tongan culture, community spirit, and leadership that your organisation has built over the years.

Thank you for your dedication and service to our community and people. Your hard work and commitment have made a positive difference in the lives of many families throughout the years.

We wish you all the very best for the future and pray for many more successful years ahead. May your organisation continue to grow, prosper, and strengthen our communities for generations to come.

Mālō 'aupito and congratulations on this remarkable milestone! πŸ‘

What a wonderful morning celebrating the opening of our new Multicultural Aoraki office! πŸŽ‰

It was great to see so many familiar faces from our community, partner agencies, and supporters come together to celebrate this special milestone.

A huge thank you to Whaea Ani Haua , Brenda Warren , and Matua Hohepa Holland from Te Aitarakihi for officially opening our new space. We would also like to acknowledge and thank some of our board members, staff, volunteers, community members, and all the agencies who joined us today. Your support means so much to us.
Big thank's Aunty Marie Faalupega for the delicious chicken chop suey that we had for lunch.

Thank you again to everyone who came along and helped make today such a memorable occasion. We look forward to continuing to build connections, strengthen our community, and celebrate our diversity together.
