Good Bi***es Baking Timaru is back for another year of spreading kindness and baking in our community! We currently have 69 volunteers and support 9 different recipients throughout the region. Last year we delivered over 560 boxes of treats to people going through a bit of a tough time and this year we will do it again.

We love supporting our local community and are grateful that we have the opportunity to do this through Presbyterian Support South Canterbury Refugee settlement services. Today we dropped off baking for two new families coming to Timaru and making South Canterbury their home.

Our aim is to spread kindness to those going through a tough time, and I can only imagine moving to a new country under a refugee status and having to create a whole new life for your family would certainly be a tough time. Hopefully this small gesture can help start that journey off in a supporting and caring way.

It's always a lovely opportunity to kōrero with our recipient organisations and share our kaupapa with them 💛

Recently, Tīmaru Head Bitch Richard attended Cancer Society South Canterbury's Coffee Catchup, sharing about what GBB does locally and nationwide!

Our chapters support the Cancer Society all across the country, sharing treats for them to pass on to patients, whānau and friends affected by cancer. It is awesome to tautoko their vital mahi 🌼

A GB enjoying a treat from GB Baking Good Bi***es Baking!

If you haven't heard of them Good Bi***es Baking are spreading kindness, one treat at a time, and today we received a gorgeous box of homemade baking to share with the Y team!

Good Bi***es Baking is a network of volunteers all over Aotearoa who bake treats in their own kitchens, with their own ingredients, to give to organisations that work with people having a tough time.

This was a super lovely surprise and Mary Strachan was one of our taste testers of these magnificent shortbread cinnamon scrolls- she confirms that they are A++++ and was last seen hiding the box in her office.............
