A simple picnic lunch became a special trip down memory lane for some Enliven Wallingford residents recently. 🌿☀️

While enjoying the outdoors, residents spent time admiring the plaque on a memorial seat and sharing stories inspired by the beautiful surroundings. Paul was delighted and a little surprised to discover that the bush seemed to have "eyes" watching over everyone! 👀😊

For Joan, the outing brought back many treasured memories of her travelling days, sparking wonderful conversations and reflections on adventures past.

It's moments like these that remind us how a shared lunch, a beautiful setting, and good company can create meaningful connections and bring cherished memories to life. 💚

💚 WOW, South CANterbury... you have absolutely blown us away! 💚

The generosity shown during this year's South CANterbury Family Works Food Drive has been nothing short of incredible. From across the region, people stepped up to help ensure local families facing hardship receive the support they need.

To every person who dropped off a food item, no matter how big or small the CANtribution, thank you. Every can, packet, box, and pantry staple will make a real difference to families in our community.

A special thank you also goes to our wonderful collection point partners:
📍 The Warehouse
📍 The Courier Timaru
📍 Family Works South Canterbury
📍 Speight's Ale House Timaru

Not only did these businesses generously provide collection points for the public, but many also made their own CANtributions. Your support, enthusiasm, and community spirit help make this annual appeal possible, and we are so grateful.

The Food Drive is a reminder of what makes South CANterbury such a special place. When there is a need, our community rallies together with kindness, compassion, and generosity.

From all of us at PSSC Family Works, and on behalf of the families who will benefit from your support, thank you for caring, sharing, and CANtributing. 💚

A Huge Thank You to WishCon! 🎲❤️

We are incredibly grateful to WishCon 2026 for their amazing support of Family Works South Canterbury, raising an incredible $7,000 to help fund youth counselling services in our community.

This generous contribution will make a real difference, helping ensure young people have access to the support, guidance, and care they need during some of life's most challenging times.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, organised, and supported this fantastic event, thank you. Your passion for gaming has been transformed into something truly meaningful for local young people and their whānau.

From all of us at PSSC's Family Works South Canterbury - Thank you WishCon for helping create brighter futures for our youth. 💚🖤

🌸 A special Spring Visitor 🌸

There was plenty of excitement at TePokapu recently when clients had the chance to meet one of spring's cutest arrivals, 4-week old Hallie! 🐑💕

Hallie quickly won everyone over with her cuddles, gentle nature, and adorable personality. There were lots of smiles, plenty of pats, and even a little wee whoopsie that gave everyone a good laugh!

It is always lovely when members of the community think of the clients and include them in these special moments. 🌼💛
