Ok Folks just a bit of an update from the Valley Locals AGM and plans for 2026.
Unfortunately we have decided not to have the Coromandel Peninsula Poker Run this year which is normally held in February and has been done so for many years pre dating anyone else, this is due to a number of factors one in particular was having to deal with un co-operative Public servants,in particular the Hauraki District Council Liquor Licence committee and a certain Licencing inspector whom shouldn’t have a job as the cost to the rate payer goes unchecked and the incompetence extends up the ranks.
Another reason being that the Coro Loop seems to be a trendy thing now-a days with all sorts grabbing dates as the feel they can, and good luck to them.
The 2025 Annual Clay shoot challenge was won by MGC and being hosted by them 2026.
We are looking at another giveaway later in the year closer to the beginning of spring ,not quite sure how we gona top last years effort.
We have also considered going back to our PU Club/Mid winter Rendezvous which we use to do back in early 2000’s and are working on that hoping we can encourage an old school theme and people will get their older bikes out and ride them along(pre millennium),The Pu Club is a mid winter longest night run where we ride from KoPU to TaPU, rain, hail, snow,slips the whole lot.
Well at this stage we are hoping to be seen a bit more out and about but have had a couple of years of members passing and others been busy with life,we take the opportunity to wish all our friends and whanau a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
