As the Rangatahi Tane expand their knowledge in our Sacred Awa while learning tikanga, river management, River Rescue, River Monitoring and skillsets of Water Hydrology this week, now off to Tongariro to acknowledge where our Awa starts.

As we launch our new Relationship with Te Tari Pureke in our Community Instructors delivery in Fi****ms License and safety training.

So good to be back in the Tamahaki Office where we bring home our Kaitiaki expansion into getting our Whànau Licnesed and soon Courses to accommodate the needs of getting on our Whenua for Kaimahi and Taiao Programs

Kaitiaki Awa Guides back at it, our relationship with Tihoi Venture School as they train their 17 Tane Rangatahi with River Skill sets during the School Year

Learning cultural awareness and the respect for the legal identity of our Scared Awa as they monitor the next 5 days of observations required for their certification

Under supervision of 3 Awa Guide Instructors and 4 on field comms we also test our new communications safety equipment

We must always keep reminding ourselves that the foundation of rongoā Māori is not rākau (plants, trees), but wairua. Wairua is not about karakia; rather karakia is a way we can connect to our taha wairua. Wairua is the sense of all the connections, both those we can see and those we can’t see, that makes us wholly ourselves.

Here our Senior Guide Instructor Haki Training our Whànau the most important steps of Kaimahi with implementation of understanding the 7 steps of the Fi****ms Whakatūpato procedures.

FI****MS VETTING HAS BEGUN

For those who have done the Fi****ms Licensing Wananga with us - Vetters are communicating for Interviews with Referees so make sure you book your time and appointment.

This is usually a HUGE Hold up on processing is COMMUNICATIONS with the Vetter when they Call you.

Make sure when you confirm your Interview appointment that you have Video Call / Teams / Zoom / Facetime to make it easier for everyone, if not then inform the Vetter so they can do visits.
