Are you flying domestically to reach your hunting location this winter?

If you’re flying with a firearm or ammunition within New Zealand on a major commercial airline, please check the rules with your airline before you fly.

Fi****ms can only be transported in your checked baggage, and they must be unloaded, secured in a locked case, and declared at check in.

Ammunition must be in the original manufacturer packaging or a purpose-built container. Pack ammunition (live or used casings) in a different checked bag from the firearm.

Before you fly, make sure your fi****ms licence is current by using the Licence Checker on our website. It’s a quick way to confirm your details are up to date (even during renewal).

You can read our guidance on travelling domestically via New Zealand’s major airlines here:https://www.fi****mssafetyauthority.govt.nz/sites/default/files/2025-11/Travelling%20on%20domestic%20airlines%20-%20fact%20sheet_0.pdf

A blessed Wànanga with our Rangatahi Tane under the guidance of kaiako Te Ururangi and Toiora, sharing their knowledge and tikanga at Te Ao Hou Marae Whanganui for their Te Tai o Rēhua Wànanga for Rangatahi

Here these Tane learnt, physical and personal awareness, whakairo, waka skills and navigation of our beautiful stars what guided our many tupuna to lands of our many whakapapa

We look forward to planning more of these Wànanga for our Kaitiaki Rangatahi to expand their connection at a Marae based learning pathway and listening to our Rangatahi in what they want ...

A blessed weekend of growth and connection for us all from Hinengakau Tamaupoko Tupoho ... our sacred Awa that brings us all together as 1

Thanks to all the kaimahi ...
