Over the past number of years, we’ve delivered an ongoing ungulate control programme across the Otago region on behalf of the local council, the Department of Conservation, and forestry partners.

With goat numbers continuing to increase, targeted control remains a key focus to reduce browsing pressure on native vegetation. Left unmanaged, goats can significantly hinder regeneration and contribute to increased erosion across vulnerable landscapes.
