Saturday marks our prop Liam Palaone’s 100th senior A match for Ohaupo Rugby Sports Club!

A great achievement for Liam, who has been a stalwart of our club since 2018.

He has been one of our hardest workers in the engine room, reflected by Waikato Divisional XV selection several times.

Liam obviously likes to play against Hinuera, he played his blazer match against them in 2023.

Ohaupo Rugby Sports Club will hold a Special General Meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday, May 12) at 7.30pm at the clubrooms.

The purpose of this meeting is to consider and approve minor amendments to the Club Constitution, as requested by IRD, to support the Club’s application for non‑profit status for tax purposes.

These amendments relate specifically to clarifying that no member may receive personal financial gain from the club, including in the event of a wind‑up.

Tomorrow sees the Ohaupo Rugby Sports Club Division 1A and 1B sides face Suburbs at Flagstaff Park.

In the early match, Ohaupo B (6th) face Suburbs B (3rd) at 1pm.

In the Division 1A match, Ohaupo (8th) will take on Suburbs (5th).

Come into town and support our lads! We can’t wait to see our community there.

Next weekend we head over to Morrinsville to face Kereone at Campbell Park. As per usual, the Division 1B match is set for 1pm followed by Division 1A at 2.45pm.

Reminder: The club is open for dinner every Friday night with the bar open from 5.30pm. Bring the family down and try Nimas Catering Ltd’s menu!

Ohaupo Rugby Sports Club’s senior man of the match awards for round 1 week 7 clashes with Leamington.

Trent Sargent took out the A team award while the whole B team was named player of the day.

Thanks to BurgerFuel Te Awamutu for once again providing these awards.

Our next games are this Saturday, May 9 against Suburbs at Flagstaff Park.

Tomorrow sees the Ohaupo Rugby Sports Club Division 1A and 1B sides face Leamington at Ohaupo Memorial Park.

In the early match, Ohaupo B (6th) face Leamington B (9th) at 1pm.

In the Division 1A match, Ohaupo (8th) will take on the unbeaten Leamington (2nd).

The Clarke Family Cup is up for grabs - a cup contested for among division 1A clubs that are more than 100 years old.

Come down and support our lads! We can’t wait to see our community there. After the matches and speeches, the Hunters Night Party will take place. Bring your best camouflage outfit and blend into the party.
