🚨Suspicious Activity Pencarrow Road, Tamahere.🚨

Informant reports that at about 8:11am on the 24/12/24 a silver Hyundai car rego FMC872 was parked on the grass on pencarrow road near the Day Road intersection. (Facing towards Airport Road).

Ripped up mail was found by outside drivers door on the grass (mail was addressed to a Paterangi Rd, Ohaupo address).

Informant phoned 111 at the time.

If you have had mail stolen this morning please report to police. Thank you to our informant for phoning 111 at the time and getting good photos of the vehicle to share with our community. This info might be a small piece to a large puzzle so it’s important to report suspicious activity.

With Christmas just a few weeks away, mail theft and suspicious activity in neighborhoods tend to increase. Let's work together to protect each other and ensure a safer community!

If You’re a Victim of Mail Theft:

📌 Report it to the police – even if the stolen item has little value. Your report could be a crucial piece of a larger investigation. (Police don’t know what they don’t know!).

📌 Once reported, you’ll receive a police file number. Share this with the community if needed so others can provide relevant information directly to the police.

📌 If you need help filing a report, message us on Facebook or email us at [email protected] –
we’re here to help and we understand the importance of correct reporting.

What to Watch For:

If you see suspicious activity call 111 at the time it is happening.

👀 Suspect description – Look for scars, marks, tattoos, or other distinguishing features.

📸 Take photos or videos – If safe to do so. A picture paints a thousand words!

🚗 Vehicle details – Note false or mismatched plates, distinctive marks, stickers, or non-working brake lights, description of make and model.

💡 These offenders often change plates, so a detailed description can be vital!

Please contact your local Community Patrol and let them know so they can alert the community and other neighboring areas. Community Patrols NZ has a good working relationship with NZ Police and we are aware of the work that is being done to hold the offenders to account for this behaviour.
