Leave 1.5 metres gap when passing a pedestrian, cyclist, horse🐴 or other vulnerable person.

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗪 | 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿
New Zealand's new mandatory minimum passing-distance law is "a significant step forward in protecting people travelling on foot, by bicycle and on horseback." From this week (Thursday 1 October) motorists will be required to leave a minimum distance of 1.5 metres when overtaking a pedestrian, cyclist, horse rider or other vulnerable road user. This law is supported by a $300 infringement penalty. We are grateful to the many supporters from across the equestrian sector who have worked to achieve this outstanding result! 💛 Sunset Primary brought their principal along today to see what the children have been up to in their sessions and to cheer them on. They are working through our obstacle challenge, navigating their way through on horseback and learning how to approach and work through the course. Always games and fun along the way. Thanks Craig for joining us yesterday! With our last week coming up, we look forward to continuing the journey with Sunset Primary in Term 4 🐴💙

You don't need to be a pro-golfer to enter a team at our upcoming Golf Day Fundraiser. Entries are for any level and are a fun relaxed way to join in the festivities of the day. We have lots on offer with food & fun, some awesome prizes up for grabs, as well as some fantastic auction items. 💙 Thank you to our Volunteers, you are all amazing!

What a lovely and fun morning we had on Thursday 10th September recognising and thanking our wonderful volunteers.

Our volunteers took up the challenge of a horse ride. Our coaches put them through their paces of our course layout that they go through with our clients, with lots of fun and laughter along the way 🤗

We then followed with morning tea attended by 6 of our volunteers, board members, staff and guests, our patron Jo-Anne La Grouw and Todd McClay MP who wrote to us in June recognising the important work that our volunteers do.

Thank you to Four Square Ngongotaha for providing us with a voucher that covered all our morning tea food and thanks Lou for the delicious baking 🍰

Today was simply about saying a heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful volunteers in recognition of the time, kindness, and dedication that they give each week 💙
