Waimarama Community Organic Gardens

Waimarama Community Organic Gardens Situated at Tantragee Road, off Brook St and next door to Riding for Disabled. Organic produce, seedlings and compost are available at our sales kiosk.

The Waimarama Community Organic Gardens, Nelson's only public organic gardens, is open year-round to provide information, workshops and organic produce sales to the community. Located off the corner of Brook Street and Tantragee Road, the gardens are staffed from 9am-3pm. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the gardens and learn more about organic horticulture through demonstrations, workshops and o

ther upcoming events. Garden plots are available for lease to community groups and individual community members. We aim to provide a beautiful garden environment where people of all abilities and interests are able to connect with nature and learn skills for living more enjoyable, productive and sustainable lives.

Vandals have visited gardens yet again!!

Stuff in the main shed damaged and left in a big mess and chain on volunteer shed has been cut and they've been in and spread the first aid box all over the place.
Has anyone heard or seen anything since we left about 1pm yesterday?

Test results back from the birds that died recently. Negative for Avian flu and alpha chloros which is good news. They are now considering mycotoxin which would suggest it was accidental or a home-brew poison which would suggest an intentional act🐦‍⬛🐦
