Last night we went to the ‘Top of the South’ film festival. My friend Gail had made a film about the concert we organised at the village here in Richmond. We fundraised to put a new roof on a classroom at Onesua College after a double cyclone hit. Gail then came with me to Vila and learned more about the Threads project.
2 friends, Linda and Carol came too wearing our special island dresses made by some of the sewing leaders from our 10 sewing groups. Another friend Robbie from the village where I live made my beautiful head dress.
Gail’s movie was beautifully done and very moving.

Just discovered today there’s an article in Creatve Fibre relating to ‘Threads’.
Rowena has cone with us to Efate twice and to Fiji. She has taught knitting in both places and wrote this article to tell the story. Thanks Rowena for your trips wkus and for sharing the stories to the Creatve Fobte community.

We have sewing projects made on Santo and on Efate being prepared. Here’s a sample of a lovely new design for sale.
If you live on Efate head to Vanuatu Made next week and look for the ‘Kiwanis’ banner at our stall.
