Rotary Taradale was proud to team up with the amazing staff and parents to help make the event a success. Dobel Reserve was buzzing with runners, families, and supporters — all coming together for a great cause and a great community.

Our team loved serving food, cheering on the runners, and being part of the energy that makes Taradale such a special place. A huge well done to Taradale Primary for organising a fantastic event.

Peace doesn’t start on the world stage; it starts in local communities.

At Taradale Rotary, we believe peace is built through understanding, service, and tackling the causes of conflict before they take hold. It's in how we listen, how we support one another, and how we choose cooperation over division.

Rotarians were greeted with curiosity, smiles and excited chatter as students gathered to receive their very own books—each carefully selected to inspire imagination, curiosity, and a lifelong love of reading. Rotary’s Dictionary is a great resource for each student who received a book of their very own to name and keep, to use a school and take home. Whether it is browsing, doing homework, making up a quiz, or getting ready for a talk to the class, it’s a treasured resource.

Madelene Field, Principal - Tumuaki & SENCO said “Thank you for popping out to our school last week to bring the dictionaries. Our Tamariki looks forward to your visit every time! I have attached a copy of last week's school newsletter to share with your team.” Now not all students and their parents wish to appear online in the broader media and we respect that. Suffice to say we appreciate the appearance the Patoka School Newsletter.

🎉 Taradale Rotary with the other Rotary Clubs of Greenmeadows and Hastings, all view you as part our wider community that we support and many projects. Said the Taradale Rotarians. “It’s about opening doors to new worlds, encouraging dreams, and showing these kids that their stories matter.”

The visit was filled with happy faces, some laughter, gratitude, and even a few impromptu discussions about what the students have been up to Including one keen hunter in the crowd who found the stag in the dictionary with illustration. Teacher and children all expressed sincere thanks for Rotary’s ongoing commitment to education and community engagement.

What a heartwarming day at Bledisloe School in Taradale! Recently Taradale Rotary Club continued its cherished tradition of supporting literacy by visiting the school to hand out brand-new books to eager young readers as part of the nationwide 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.

Rotarians were greeted with bright smiles and excited chatter as students gathered to receive their very own books—each carefully selected to inspire imagination, curiosity, and a lifelong love of reading.
