🌿 TASTE & SEE BRUNCH 🌿

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of gathering with some of our valued stakeholders at Koha Café for a special brunch catch-up.

It was more than just a brunch — it was an opportunity to share our journey, celebrate the work happening across our communities, and look ahead to what we can achieve together.

We shared snippets of our Building Learning Communities (BLC) programmes, explored what makes us “shockingly” different, and reflected on our vision and the roots of Rise Up Trust — where our journey has come from and where we are heading.

A huge NGĀ MIHI NUI to all our stakeholders who took the time to join us. 🙏 Your partnership, support and commitment to our whānau are deeply valued.

Position: Primary Classroom Teacher Years 2-3 - Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.6

Start Date: 12th October 2026

End Date: 16th December 2026

English, Health and physical education, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social sciences, Te reo Māori, The Arts.

Key responsibilities and expectations
• Deliver engaging, high-quality classroom teaching that fosters high-order thinking, cultural pride, and academic success.
• Actively weave our RISE values—Resilience, Integrity, Stewardship, and Excellence—into daily teaching and pastoral care.
• Partner closely with Whānau Educators and parents to support holistic learning and community engagement.
• Champion student wellbeing through a hearts-and-minds-based curriculum.

Requirements
• NZ Registered Teacher with current practicing certificate.

Synergy Presentation Night - 03 September 2026

Our Synergy Presentation Night is a celebration of how unique and wonderfully made each of our children are.

Well done to our amazing students who stood with courage and confidence as they shared their “I Know Who I Am” presentations. We are so very proud of you all!

We are always encouraged when our children share about their family values, gifts and talents, whakapapa, personalities, and future dreams. It is a privilege to see them discover and celebrate who they are.

A huge thank you to all our whānau for your commitment and support throughout the Synergy programme. Thank you to our beautiful families- Apineru-Pomare Whanau, Fa’avae whanau, Fatai whanau, Mafi whanau, Mata Tei whanau, Partsch whanau, Turaki whanau, Motuliki-Laumatia whanau, Su’a whanau.

We continue to pray that our children will know their identity in Christ, understand how wonderfully God has created them, and continue to declare God’s Word over their lives.

Synergy programme: Gifts & Talents
It’s not about how smart you are — it’s about how you are smart!

At Synergy last week, we explored Multiple Intelligences—the different ‘Smarts’—and our individual gifts and talents. When we recognise and understand our talents, it can help us to build healthy self-esteem.

Thank you, whānau, for your commitment! We are looking forward to our Synergy presentations next week at the Māngere Arts Centre.

Malo e lelei!

Last week at Synergy, we learnt about our personalities. When we understand our personality type, it helps us to understand why we do the things we do.

Great work, whānau! Thank you, Ms Grace, for your hard work in transforming The Treasure Tree book into a part-animation with live narration! Here’s hoping we can turn it into a fully animated video.

We are getting very close to our Synergy Presentation Night.

What a wonderful morning of connection, learning, and shared wisdom at today's Communities of Practice Mangere gathering!

A heartfelt thank you to Tātou Collective for the opportunity to host today's event. We loved coming together to fill our collective basket with valuable tools, connections, and knowledge to empower our whānau and community.

Fa'afetai tele lava to everyone who joined us, shared their stories, and contributed to making our community stronger together!

Last Saturday we had fun learning about our Pasifika and Maori cultural heritage with Ma'ara & Mariah at the Auckland Museum.

Thank you to our amazing students for your engagement with the lessons and parents for making the time to attend the Museum trip.
