Aotearoa Urban Arts Trust - PFTP Murals

Aotearoa Urban Arts Trust - PFTP Murals PFTP murals has now merged into Aotearoa Urban Arts Trust, a Registered Charitable Trust for young people passionate about urban contemporary arts.

Painting for the People was a Mural Arts Initiative established in June 2011 and developed by Amiria Puia-Taylor as a part of her final undergraduate studies at Manukau School of Visual Arts, Otara, South Auckland. Now nestled under the 'korowai - cloak of protection' of Aotearoa Urban Arts Trust, PFTP Murals is a social change programme that provides Professional Development, Mentoring, Training

and beautifies urban landscapes for creating an awareness of the social issues. Each project is developed one after the other with various community groups from primary schools to tertiary school, from non-profit organizations to NZ Policing teams, from parents and the neighborhood to shopkeepers and youth centers. The purpose of each mural is to use the arts as away to bring together communities, to work together, to break away from these categories and to unite as one. Changing the mentality of how our people think day to day. For enquiries and more information head to website www.auat.co.nz
