As we join Volunteering New Zealand in celebrating volunteers across Aotearoa, we want to say a huge thank you to our incredible NZRDA volunteers.

Rain or shine, week after week, you show up with patience, and plenty of heart.

The impact you have is felt every day by our riders, whānau, and RDA communities across the country.

🎉🐴 Happy Birthday, Emma! 🐴🎉

Today we are celebrating one of our amazing long-time volunteers, Emma.
Emma's dedication to Hawera RDA is truly inspiring. She travels all the way from Opunake by bus to be with us and is nearly always the first to arrive and the last to leave.
Emma helps get our horses ready, brings out all the tack, and is always willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed. Her love for the horses shines through in everything she does, and her kindness and commitment make a real difference to our riders, volunteers, and horses.
We are incredibly grateful for all the time, effort, and care that Emma gives to Hawera RDA. She is a valued member of our RDA family, and we are so lucky to have her.

A big thank you to the Endeavour Centre at Te Paipai O Aotea for the generous donation of carrots for our horses. They were very much appreciated! Ace enjoyed them so much he couldn’t even wait until we got home and had himself a little snack on the way back… clearly I didn’t choose the best place to leave them! 🥕🐴

We’re so grateful for the generosity, encouragement, and community support shown throughout the day. Every bit of support helps us continue the important work we do, providing therapeutic horse riding opportunities and making a real difference in the lives of our riders.
