Village Baptist Come as you are. Be Transformed. Make a Difference. We believe that church should be a place that's open to all. You are welcome here.

It should be a place where positive transformation takes place. And it should be a place where people discover the good purpose God has for them. That's why our mission statement is: Come as you are.

David: The Story before the Story | 4th Oct 2026

This week we begin a new series exploring the life of David. Through this series, we'll learn what faithfulness looks like through both the successes and failures of David.

This week we explore the story before the story: the events that led to David being anointed as King of Israel. Here we'll see how God is at work, even amid human failures and frailties..

Forgive as Jesus Forgave | 6th Sept 2026

Kia ora, and welcome to church!

At the core of God lies a relationship between three persons - Father, Son, and Spirit - and being made in His image means that relationships are an important part of being human too. But how can we ensure that we foster the relationships we need to flourish, and help others to do the same? This is precisely what we will be exploring in this series: Jesus and Relationships.

This week we explore forgiveness, discovering that the key to forgiving others is remembering the King who first forgave us.

Finding Contentment | 9th August 2026

Kia ora, and welcome to church!

This Sunday, we're continuing our 11-week series exploring the Ten Words (aka the Ten Commandments). Through this series, we'll explore what it means to allow these words to form us and how they keep us in the freedom that God has brought us into.

This week, Annedien explores the final commandment in Exodus 20:17. Together, we’ll consider what it means to “do not covet,” and how this surprising command points us towards the pursuit of happiness, contentment, and where true fulfilment is ultimately found.
