Congratulations to Koru Brass today, playing in the Matamata Festival and attaining a Gold award. This is an exceptional result. The band played the three pieces which were played at National contest earlier this year. Thanks to Mason Elliot for conducting the band and a few members from Hamilton City Brass who joined us in the band.

Our bands are heading to the NZ Brass Band Championships! Preparing for an event like this comes with high costs. Between entry fees, rehearsal venues, coach transfers and the small adventure of transporting a mountain of percussion gear, the costs add up fast.
