A huge thank you to Maddie for being the first of our Youth Council members to put a hand up and help us spread the word 💚

It’s great to hear directly from someone who has been part of Youth Council for the past three years about what the experience has meant to them.

If you know a young person who might be interested in Youth Council or Young Leaders, please give this a share!

Applications are open! 🙌

We’d love to see some new faces joining us — and if you’ve been part of Youth Council before, we’d love to see you apply again too.

Check out the post below for all the details 👇

Rangatahi, we want you 🫵🤩

Hot off the press! The Manawatū Youth Council and the new Manawatū Young Leaders groups are open for recruitment. Whoop whoop!

👉 The Manawatū Youth Council is aimed at 16–24 year olds, providing a platform for rangatahi to have their voices heard and take part in Council discussions and processes.

👉 The new Young Leaders group is aimed at 13-16 year olds and is a great way to build confidence and leadership skills.

You can join one group, or both, and the age ranges are only indicative!

😎 This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and try something a little bit different.
