Last week we ticked off the first Life Skills Camp of the year where some local rangatahi went down to Trentham Military Camp and had a week full of new experiences, overcoming challenges and making new friends!

Tonight was a chance for the Feilding Blue Light whānau to pause and put some energy back into ourselves.
After a huge 2025, the team came together over kai, laughs, and a well-earned breather. We’re usually pouring our time, aroha, and commitment into our local rangatahi, so it was nice to share a moment as a team in a chilled out setting.
We’ve got a big crew and not everyone could make it along tonight, but here’s a snapshot of some of the legends behind the scenes 💙❤️

Unfortunately, the weather’s looking too unpredictable, so it won’t be able to go ahead this time.

Unfortunately, Play Along the Way on Wednesday 19 November has been cancelled.
A big mihi to all the organisations who rallied together to support the event: Manawatū District Council, Manawatū Community Hub Libraries, Feilding Volunteer Fire Brigade, Feilding Blue Light, Feilding Lions Mini Golf, Ngā Kaitiaki o Ngāti Kauwhata, Makino Aquatic Centre, Next Level Athletes- Rangatahi, and the Manawatu Skateboard Association.
We look forward to bringing more play to the district again soon! 💚

What an incredible week at the 5 day Blue Light Life Skills Camp held at Trentham. Feilding Blue Light proudly supported six rangatahi to attend this transformative experience, delivered by the NZ Army, Navy, Air Force, and Police.

Congratulations to our Feilding local, Taurite-Lee Hati, who received the award for perseverance, courage, and determination. A well deserved recognition!

Massive thanks to Manawatū Youth Engaement Officer, Constable Georgia Phillips, who supported the rangatahi throughout the week.

Thank you New Zealand Blue Light for all the mahi you do behind the scenes to provide these programmes for our Rangatahi.
