Te Rōpū Māori We are the Māori Students Association of Otago University. We are the parallel body to OUSA - Otago U Nei rā a Ngāti Scarfy, tō kāinga rua, hei tautoko i a koe!

Te Rōpū Māori is the Otago University Māori Students Association. Te Rito is the name of the executive team that is elected by the students every year and oversees the operations of the association. Support Education:
Student led tutorials, study nights and retreats; we want to give you the best chances to succeed academically. Social, Sporting & Cultural Support:
We host kapa haka, weekly social sports and numerous other events across the year to support all your needs. Represent Māori Students:
As a political body we strive to represent the interests of Māori students within the University. Whakawhanaungatanga:
Our TRM Whare is open to all tauira Māori. We strive to make Te Rōpū Māori your home away from home.

Applications are officially open for the University of Otago Study Grants for Māori and Pacific Island Students! Worth NZ$3,000, these grants are designed to support eligible full-time tauira entering their final year of an undergraduate degree, advanced years in Health Sciences (MB ChB, BDS, BPharm, BPhty, BMLSc), or their first year of postgraduate study. If you’re a New Zealand citizen or residence visa holder, this extra tautoko (support) can make a huge difference as you pursue your wawata (aspirations).
